Shellee Takara, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Shellee was born and raised in Ewa Beach, Hawaii and is a graduate of Moanalua High School. When she was younger she played soccer and enjoyed being active. She also has a younger brother who is an avid soccer player, so she spent lots of time at the soccer field. Growing up, she would spend her free time volunteering in her mother’s elementary school classroom where she developed a passion for working with people and teaching. Shellee became interested in pursuing physical therapy in high school when she discovered that it combined both her interests in health and teaching.
Shellee attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa where she received a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science in 2018. She continued her education at Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2022. Shellee has experience working in a variety of settings, which include developmental pediatrics, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and outpatient orthopedics.
In her free time Shellee enjoys traveling, working out, cooking, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
